This was our second year to stay st the Artesian during the Annual Chickasaw Festival. Last year we had no complaints. However, this year has been a different story. We had difficulty with our room key-cards not working. One time use and we would have to go back to the desk to have them reprogrammed. They promised to call maintenance to fix the door. We were there for 9 nights and the last night it worked. Very frustrating. We also had trouble with housekeeping. They were very inconsistent on cleaning our room and the amount of towels, etc. that was left. Almost daily we had to call the desk for something they had forgotten. And the last 2 nights we were there we had no hot water for showers. It went ice cold in the middle of the shower. We reported it to the desk but they said nothing they could do about it because a lot of people were taking showers at the same time. The room had very poor lighting. Very disappointed compared to last year.
This place is amazing. So fancy and neat. And abundant with amenities. They have thought of everything from quality shampoo to complimentary water bottles in your rooms. The only thing I would think twice about us the sirloin from the restaurant. Maybe I'm the only one who didn't know they'd be that small
We went there the other day for our anniversary dinner. This was about our eighth visit. I’m sad to report the wait staff in the restaurant were sub par, they didn’t know the menu, didn’t take empty plates, and slow. My chicken was over cooked and the jalapeño gravy was not good. Additionally the bartenders didn’t know how to make a proper martini, and the liquor was so depleted we had to settle for second choice drinks. It’s looking like they’re cutting costs, cutting staff, cutting training, and now cutting repeat customers. What a shame to watch it go downhill. PS, We really miss the fantastic Sunday brunch too
Very nice hotel. Smells so good throughout! It's non-smoking, with the exception of the casino. Located within walking distance of the Chickasaw National Recreation Area.
Wife and I had a wonderful time and the suites are worth it. All the staff were friendly. Hotel itself is very quiet. Wish the casino was bigger but we still had a good time. Room service or the cafe are top notch.
